28th Moscow International Book Fair has opened in the 75th pavilion at the VDNKh. The fair is the oldest and largest in Russia. More than 30 countries and nearly 400 publishers take part in it this year.
This fair is one of the main events of the literature year in Russia. In addition to trade (many books are sold at discounted prices), there will be many intellectual entertainments – traditional meetings with writers, readers ‘ conferences, as well as a separate program for children. Boris Grebenschikov, Vladimir Pozner, Nikita Mikhalkov, Zakhar Prilepin and others will participate in public events of the fair.
This year, the fair will not be limited by the territory of VDNKh. Events will also be held at other venues. Thus, annual festival Bookmarket will bring together the brightest representatives of modern literature, music, contemporary art, cinema and education. The Bookmarket festival will take place this weekend at the Krasnaya Presnya Park. In addition, a book fair will settle down in the center of Moscow, at the Gogolevsky Boulevard. Besides, the Danilovsky Market will host the Book Market and many other interesting events within the International Book Festival.
28th Moscow International Book Fair will last from September2 to 6. The organizers expect that not less than 100 thousand people will visit it.
The entrance fee is 100 rubles (€0.95) for one day.
