This weekend offers Muscovites and guests of the capital many fascinating events. Several new exhibitions, art markets and a big festival of anime are among them.
THE BIG BANG THEORY EXHIBITION
Flakon Design Factory together with Paramount Comedy TV channel and Warner Bros studio presents the international exhibition of works based on the well-known series -The Big Bang Theory. It will take place from February 4 to February 28. Visitors will see knitted, cartoon and animated characters of the series created by artists and illustrators from all over the world.
Besides, in specially equipped Market Bar space, the most active and talented audience will be able to sound the series and become voice of the main sitcom heroes for a while.
The exhibition, presented at Flakon went over in the USA, Spain and Italy earlier with success.
The festival of Japanese culture and animation Animatrix will open on February 7 in Moskvich Cultural Center to plunge visitors into the atmosphere of east and world pop culture. Japanese music, games, movies, series, comics market, toys and attributes, and an opportunity to meet heroes of a favorite anime or series wait guests of the festival.
Annually this festival collects impressive number of people. Animatrix-2015 gives the fine chance to look at the culture of Japan in the form of anime, games, music and movies.
Competitions with favorite heroes, acquaintance to fantasy characters from books of Japanese authors, theatrical dances, modern Asian fashion and many other things are in the festival’s program.
EXHIBITION «MICHI’S WORLD. FOLLOWING THE DREAM»
Guests of the exhibition «Michi’s World. Following the Dream» will see peculiar art result of seven years’ creative searches and travelling of Olga Michi who depicted most remote from civilization inhabitants of the planet.
According to the author, travelling challenges us to overcome fears and doubts. This made her plunge into a dark river with crocodiles and look for voodoo sorcerers in the forgotten woods.
Visitors of the exhibition will see not only photo works, but also the surprising subjects and things brought from far away journeys. Furthermore, representatives of the most known tribe in East Africa – Masai that never left their continent before, will arrive to Moscow by Olga Michi’s invitation. On February 6, 7 and 8, they will be at the exhibition to show national dances the art of throat singing.
Masters of handmade, which passed preliminary competitive selection, will present at the fair clothes, knitted products, author’s jewelry and accessories, home decoration, cosmetics, gift cards and many other things. The most talented masters in different types of creativity will be brought together at one platform.
There will be held master classes in potter’s art and linocut. Moreover, handmade artists will prepare various gifts for men in anticipation of February 23.
Admission will be free. The fair will be held on February 7 in DI Telegraph Cultural Center (Tverskaya St., 7)
FLEA MARKET IN THE MUSEUM OF MOSCOW
The retro photographer’s studio, musical hits of the past, various vintage bagatelles, consultations of professional restorers – all this can be found on February 8, 2015 from 12.00 till 19.00 at the Fourth City Flea Market in the Museum of Moscow.
Fans of vintage jewelry and clothes, toys and books, house utensils and home decoration, souvenirs and costume jewelry are invited to the fair. Besides, there will be held meetings with experts and adherents, expositions and informative lectures on antiquarian business.
Within the flea fair there will take place a mini-exhibition of French posters and an exhibition-improvisation, which will show a history of families of XIX –XX centuries in photos and artifacts.
In addition, Moscow musical collectives will perform jazz compositions throughout the event.
