The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts opens an exhibition «Rubens, Van Dyck, Jordaens … Masterpieces of Flemish paintings from the collections of the Prince of Liechtenstein» on June 20. It consist of 55 paintings by famous Flemish painters of the XVII century.
The exposition opens with 19 paintings by Peter Paul Rubens, executed in different periods of the artist’s creative activity and belonging to different genres: portraits, large-scale works on religious and mythological subjects. «Portrait of Maria de Tassis» by Anthony van Dyck is also on display. This picture really is considered the best female image of the master’s creative heritage. In addition, it will be possible see paintings by famous Flemish painters Jacques Jordaens and Frans Snyders.
The exhibition coincides with the state visit of the Crown Prince of Liechtenstein. Wonderful selection of works by famous Flemish masters make his collection one of the best in the world.
