The upcomming nice March weekend has prepared for us some weather changes. Therefore, if you do not want to spend your time outdoors, there are plenty of interesting indoor events, such as a designer market, film festival, exhibitions and ecological discussions.
IRISH FILM FESTIVAL
This weekend you will have a last chance to see the best Irish movies within the Irish Week 2015, which takes place in Moscow from 11 to 22 March. The festival program consist of six Russian and two European premieres, which received various prizes at film festivals in Cannes, Berlin and others.
On March 21 and 22, the festival, held in Formula Kino Cinema, will present three movie pictures. The «Song of the Sea», nominated for Oscar, is a cartoon about the last Selkie child, a mythical people who can turn from seals to people. «Good Vibrations» is a biopic movie of the legendary radical, revolutionary and music lover Terri Hooley, trying to resurrect Belfast in the 70s. «Out of Darkness» is a horror about a lonely couple in the woods.
EXHIBITION AND PRESENTAION OF A BOOK IN THE IN ARTIBUS FOUNDATION
On March 20, In Artibus Foundation will hold a presentation of two projects, united by the name of a Swiss architect Luigi Pelli (1771-1861): the opening of the exhibition of photographer Yuri Palmin «Winter trip. Winterreise» and presentation of the book first published in Russian – «Travel Diary of Luigi Pelly, a native of Aranno, from Saint-Petersburg to Lugano in 1829».
The architect Luigi Pelli kept a diary in which he described the route of his journey from St. Petersburg to Lugano in the nineteenth century and photographer Yuri Palmin repeated this route in the twenty-first century.
In Artibus Foundation translation and publication of Pelli’s travel letters and notes, all these years kept by his heirs in Switzerland, is in fact the first Russian edition of the architect’s documented materials. Luigi Pelli is a controversial and mysterious figure in the history of Russian architecture, and the range of monuments attributed to him is hardly justified until now.
Yuri Palmin is an architectural photographer. The aim of his work was to document cities and objects described by Pelli. As a result, the photographs showed new artistic perspective: reality changed to ‘little reality’, and things you could only thought of became visible.
The exhibition takes place in the In Artibus Foundation (Prechistenskaya embankment 17, entrance from the Kursovoy Lane). It will be open to the public from March 21 to April 25, 2015.
ECO LECTIONS IN MUSEUM OF MOSCOW
Scientists, eco-activists, photographers, naturalists, architects and designers will discuss the complex relationship of nature and vast metropolis, as well as talk about what is happening to the environment and what we can and should do to improve the situation on March 21 and 22 in the Museum of Moscow. Master classes for young visitors will make them further explore environmental issues.
The program of lectures and discussions «Nature and the City» will be held in framework of the world’s largest wildlife festival «Golden Turtle». Golden Turtle is the only official event in Russia held within a decade of biodiversity preservation declared by the United Nations.
All weekend, from 12 to 18 hours there will also pass a children’s program – Master classes, held by Moscow Eco-centers: «The second life of things» and «Live from non-life», where children will learn how to make beautiful and interesting things from recycled paper, cardboard, yarn, etc.
Visitors can attend all the lectures, discussions and workshops within the «Nature and the City» in these two days for free.

POETRY DAY IN MOSCOW
On March 21, the International Poetry Day will be celebrated in Moscow. Thus, Moscow libraries invite everyone for a free cup of coffee. The action will begin on Saturday at the Tolstoy’s Library at 12.00. It will also take part in Anna Akhmatova’s Library, Lesya Ukrainka’s Library, Alexei Tolstoy’s Library and Library № 221.
To get a drink, you will have to recall or compose any poem, write it on a napkin and thus ‘pay’ for your coffee. The libraries decided to draw attention to the topic of city resident’s poetry with the help of this action.
The event takes place within a global project «Pay with a Poem», which is held simultaneously in 23 countries on March 21. More than 1100 coffee shops, bars and restaurants all over the world will take part in it.
Moscow parks have also prepare a special poetry program. For example, at Kuzminki Park, everyone will be able to listen to poems of young poets or present to public their own creations from 12.00 to 15.00.
LAMBADA MARKET
The first spring Lambada Market will be held on the minus fourth floor of the Tsvetnoy Central Market. The first spring Lambada is promised to be the last indoor one in the season. The following market will be held outdoors. More than 200 participants will sell designer clothes, shoes, accessories, vintage, furniture and home decoration as well as books and vinyl records.
Furthermore, there will be three musical points for creating nice mood. At the food court, it will be possible to taste Greek falafel, almond milk and many other yummies. In addition, «Do fest» has prepared a program of eight master classes devoted to beauty. You will learn how to weave flower garlands, knead your own moisturizer, do spring make-up or decorate interior pillows.
