Here is our usual list of the new places in Moscow. This time, we present cafes, shops and cookeries that opened in early October.
CHABAN-HOUSE
Chaban-House Facebook page
Shop and cafe Chaban-House has opened on Novy Arbat Street. Here you can buy meat and dairy products, poultry, bread and juice, but the main thing here is, of course, meat. The place sells beef, veal and lamb from animals traditionally reared in Kalmykia. And prices here are surprisingly low: 500 rubles (€5.35) for New York steak, 500-600 rubles (€5.35 -€6.42) for a Cowboy, about 400 rubles (€4.28) for a lamb loin. The explanation is simple: Chaban-House belongs to the main slaughterhouse in Kalmykia, possessor of huge herds, living in the open steppe all year round. Therefore, the meat is slightly lighter, with a more pronounced flavor.
All the meat products, laid out on the counter – steaks, hamburger, etc. – can be prepared free (and even with the addition of side dishes and sauces). Cooking everything else – dumplings (140-160 rubles, €1.50 - €1.71 per pack), sausages (55-60 rubles, €0.59 - €0.64 per 100 g), etc. will cost 20% of the price. In addition, the Chaban –House offers 11 kinds of burgers with beef, lamb, chicken, salmon with prawns and vegetarian. Chaban Black (double burger with lamb) costs 380 rubles (€4.07), Chaban BBQ (a double burger with beef, bacon and egg) – 400 rubles (€4.28). All the burgers are served with French fries. The meals are prepared in josper and Argentinean grill. Another 5 small grills are built into the bar – you can roast a selected piece yourself.
