BIKE CARNIVAL AT POKLONNAYA GORA

The World Car-Free Day is spent every year on September 22. On this day, car owners are asked to use public transport, bicycles, scooters or walking instead of driving a car. Therefore, The Victory Park at Poklonnaya Gora will host a Bike Carnival on 19 September, on the eve of the World Car-Free Day.
The ride will start at 13:00. Costumed bike riders will start at Kutuzovsky Prospect and will make a circular route of 13.6-kilometer length. An hour later the column will be back at Poklonnaya Gora, where the festive program will continue the event.
After the Bicycle ride, all the visitors will be able to participate in free test drives of motor bikes, scooters, and other eco-friendly equipment.
The Muzeon Arts Park will host a big festival dedicated to one of the most controversial period of Russian modern history.
The park will be divided into themed areas. At one of the sites, modern poets will read poetry, written in the 90’s. Main characters of the 1990s will read lectures. Thus, Artemy Troitsky will speak about the musical merit of the period and Oleg Kulik will tell stories about the actual art of those years.
Young Moscow bands will present songs of the 90s in modern arrangement. Russian rock band Auktsion will become the musical headliner of the festival. In addition, there will be a flea and designer markets, film screenings and theatrical performances.

INDIAN SUMMER FESTIVAL IN THE HERMITAGE GARDEN

The Seasons magazine will hold the Indian Summer Festival in the Hermitage Garden. There will be a design market, street food, master classes for adults and children and jazz concert.
Visitors will be able to learn how to cook exotic and traditional dishes. Seasons of Life School will teach guests of the festival the basics of floristry.
The design market will host 50 stores and designers. The gastronomic zone will present a variety of treats, and at the second hand zone, it will be possible to buy children’s clothes, books and toys.

FOODTRUCK FESTIVAL

The third Foodtruck Festival will pass at VDNKh near the Upside-Down House. Among the participants are Kitchen Fuckers, Taksa Grill, Golden Monkey, AjikA, Hell’s Pizza, and others.
This time, the festival invited guests from St. Petersburg – Cloudberry truck with amazing ice cream. Besides, restaurants will also participate in this festival. For example, Fahrenheit’s chef Anton Kovalkov will adapt restaurant dishes to the street food.
In addition, visitors will be able to participate in interesting lectures.
Thousands of runners from Russia and other countries will gather in Moscow to run 42 km marathon for the third time. Athletes will run past the Moscow City, the Garden Ring and the Tsvetnoy Boulevard, through the Krimsky Bridge and Kitaygorodsky passage, Tverskaya Street and near the Kremlin walls. Start and finish will take place in the Olympic complex Luzhniki, as usual.
This year, the biggest sports exhibition in Russia will pass in the framework of the Marathon. There, the leading manufacturers of sports equipment, gadgets, and sports nutrition products will present their production.
Registration for the marathon has long been closed, but you still can witness the main sporting event of the year and support participants.
Note that some of the central streets will be closed for vehicles and public transport because of the marathon.
The Flacon Design Factory will host a festival dedicated to classical and innovative methods of industrial design. Organizers assure that the festival should be of interest not only to professional designers, but also to very wide audience. The Flacon’s territory will be divided into exhibitions of Russian industrial design, Swedish design of comfortable environment and Interactive Museum of Soviet design.
Visitors are offered to participate in various workshops and lectures. Lovers of music and dance will admire a gala concert. Besides, here you will learn how to make a budget repair or buy a souvenir at the fair.

MICHELANGELO: THE CREATION MULTIMEDIA SHOW

The new multimedia show Michelangelo. The Creation will bring alive Michelangelo’s masterpieces. Magnificent frescoes from the Sistine Chapel ceiling as well as The Last Judgement, painted during the Renaissance era on the altar of the Chapel, will be projected onto large screens. The show will also feature other works by the Italian genius while a full-sized replica of his David will be installed at the entrance to ARTPLAY from the Yauza embankment.
Up to 10,000 people visit the Sistine Chapel daily. Such a high turnout combined with the high ceiling makes it difficult for visitors to appreciate Michelangelo’s masterpiece. Michelangelo: The Creation show will give its visitors the chance to see the spectacular artwork in every detail and fully realize just how impressive the Italian master’s titanic effort was without getting a stiff neck. The show will not leave you disappointed even if you have been to the Chapel and saw the frescoes with your own eyes.
Technology, used while preparing the exhibition, includes multichannel graphic animation, dozens of state-of-the-art HD video projectors, large screens and 3D audio. Augmented by cutting-edge visual effects and accompanied by music by the likes of Bach, Handel and Mozart, Michelangelo’s world-famous images are brought to life on large screens to compose a flamboyant, emotionally charged show that would reintroduce the artist’s legacy to the public while also giving Michelangelo’s admirers a fresh and surprising take on his masterpieces.
