Here is our usual list of the most remarkable events in Moscow this weekend. July 25-26. Music and food festivals, new exhibitions and opera in the open-air theatre will let you fully enjoy these days off.

The Afisha Picnic, one of the largest summer festivals, will traditionally take place in Kolomenskoe. For the past years, the most popular musicians and bands from all over the world have become its participants. This year, Zemfira, one the most important and exact Russian singers, will be the headliner of the festival. Ivan Dorn, who hasn’t been playing in Moscow for more than two years, the British electronic band Hot Chip and rockers The Horrors, one of the best independent Russian groups SBPCh and Russian musician Nayk Borzov will also appear on the big stage of The Afisha Picnic.
However, music is not the only attraction of the festival. There will be a quest by Claustrophobia, a Trade Secret business lyceum, an open-air gallery, the Robot Ball, twerk lessons by The Dome studio, a book fair, an open-cinema and many other things. As usual, it will be possible to buy different needed and fun goods at the big market. Visitors will be able to have a bite after all activities, concerts and to campaigns on fair at food court. At least 33 products: burgers, gyros, pies with ventricles, lemonades, pizza and many other things – will be there to satisfy your appetite.
The price of a ticket is 2700 rubles (€36.18).

TASTY COUNTRY FESTIVAL
This weekend, VDNKh will host a large-scale food festival, with dishes from all parts of Russia. Participants of the grandiose festival will occupy 4 pavilions: Russia, World Food, Marie-Antoinette’S Confectionery and Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Street Food. Food tracks Gyros For Heroes, Stardog’s and Papa John’s will also be located here. A market, where one will be able to buy honey, nuts, Greek food, flowers, souvenirs and even books of fine quality, will work along with the gastronomic points.
The main innovation of the festival that it is necessary to pay only for the entrance ticket (1000 rubles - €13.40). Tasting of dishes, master classes from chefs, express manicure, make-up or hairdo at the beauty-zone are included in the price of the ticket.
VDNKh, Prospect Mira, 119
On July 25, visitors of the Red Square will witness unusual retro rally. Moskvitch, Zaporozhets, Start, GAS, ZIM, ZIS and ZIL – all these representatives of the Soviet car industry will take part in autorally that will pass through the very center of the capital. Only the best cars, which had expert examination and the test for restoration quality, are allowed to participate in the competition.
This it will also be possible to see cars that have taken part in cinematographing, veterans of war and winners of sports competitions.
The GUM Autorally will start from the Red Square, and finish at Vetoshny Lane. Traditional rewarding of winners will become completion of the competitions. After the autorally, the exhibition of Pobeda cars will open near GUM.

LA TRAVIATA IN THE GREEN THEATRE AT VDNKH
On July 25, Verdi’s most timeless and beloved creations the opera La Traviata will be performed by the soloists, the ensemble and the orchestra of the Moscow Art Music Theater named after Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko. The musical director and conductor is the honored artist of Russia, Feliks Korobov.
Brilliant soloists of the theater opera troupe – Maria Pakhar, Sergey Balashov, Arsen Sogomonyan and others – will show the tragic love story.
The scenic space of the Green Theater will be changed by thematic light installations; all actors will be dressed in gorgeous costumes created for the opera by the Musical Theater.
Admission is free.

NEW EXHIBITIONS IN MAMM
The Multimedia Art Museum is going to update its exposition this weekend. Personal exhibition of Ivan Lungin Nothing Personal will present graphic portraits of people in the streets, marble tiles with texts and abstract panels.
The second new exhibition in MAMM is a group art project Tasma. Kazan Photogroup. It is a big photo exposition of Tasma Kazan Photographic Association participants, representing the spirit of the 70ies and the 80ies. One more exhibition is called ANTARCTOPIA. It shows thoughts and fantasies of leading world architects and artists – Zaha Hadid, Yury Avvakumov, Alex Shveder, Alexander Brodsky, Hugh Brouton and others – on eternally iced continent.

RED BULL FLUGTAG
Red Bull Flugtag site
Red Bull Flugtag, bright show fantastic aircrafts and incredible costumes, comes back to Moscow. Participants will try to impress the judges and the audience, and then fly the longest distance over the water.
Performances will be estimated by the tree criteria: the aircraft originality, flying range, artistry of performance. The most courageous pilots in the most unbelievable flying objects will try to overcome gravity force and fly from a 6-meter ramp. Otherwise, they will fall into water, which happens much more often.
