This midsummer weekend as always offers Muscovites and city guests many occupations for active pastime and recreation. Festivals, markets, bike rides and races – We heart Moscow has prepared the list of the most interesting events in Moscow this weekend.
MORE AMPRE FESTIVAL
The Seasons site
Traditional festival by Seasons of Life Magazine will pass this Saturday in Muzeon and will turn Krimskaya embankment into a resort promenade.
Besides visiting traditional design-market and gourmet food court, guests of the festival will be able to take positive photos at the funny photo areas, eat ice cream in street cafes, or relax at the sun loungers. Kids will enjoy their time at pools and trampolines, as well as making costumes for the Neptune holiday. It will be possible to dance at the embankment and take part in master classes by Seasons Designer School.
In addition, the organizers have planned a special boat route at the Moskva River. It will be possibl to take a trip and then come back to the festival. The boat will sail to Novospassky Bridge and back; will pass under four bridges past 11 beautiful waterfronts.

GO VEGAN FESTIVAL

The Go Vegan Festival of vegetarianism and raw food will pass on Sunday at Sokolniki Park. The capital’s restaurants and cafes – Fresh, Zelen, Makosh, Skatert-Samobranka and Champa pr – will offer their concept of food for fans of a healthy diet. There will also be a fair with organic products and natural cosmetics, kitchen appliances, spices, ecological packaging, superfood and other health-friendly goods.
Adherents of vegetarian philosophy will be able to attend lectures on the ideas of vegetarianism and its influence on individuals and the whole world. Yoga classes, drummers show and DJs performances are also in the program.
The small guests of the festival will be able to spend their time at a special children’s area with entertainment attractions.

VELOFLEUR BICYCLE RIDE

Participants of Velofleur Ride will gather on Sunday at 13:00 at the Moscow Kristal Plant. The ride will sart with complimentary light snacks and beverages at Koleso-Kolesiko bicyclette. Then the route will pass along the Yauza River to the second start point – Grusha Market, where a small brunch will be offered. The bike promenade will continue at Yauzsky Boulevard and Krimakaya and Pushkinskaya embankment and will finish at the French petanque cafe La Boule.
Organizers promise a lot of flowers, beautiful music, good wine, petanque, communication, jokes and laugh.
The dress code for participants is retro romance à la France and only classical and urban bikes (mountain bikes and municipal rental bikes are not allowed.

The great costume party will take place in the aesthetics of retro-futurism at an abandoned house near a pond at the VDNKh. The festival’s theme THE TOMORROW THAT NEVER WAS is largely dictated by the new venue, which offers views of the futuristic architectural complex of the Exhibition Center that embodies the utopian idea of Soviet Architects of a bright future.
This year, the program will include many interactive performances – for example, there will move cars with reflective colors. In addition, visitors will see a light show on the water from the Intensity Studio and performances by Rebolledo, Amirali, Wareika and other musicians. Arkady Novikov’s projects will be responsible for food at the Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Strict adherence to the dress code is a necessary condition for participation. Costumes create and maintain the unique spirit of the event. In addition, recommendation by two festival friends of the MSND community is necessary.

This weekend the Izmailovsky Park will turn into rather scary place. On july 19, there will pass the Zombie Run. Participants must get from point A to point B, overcoming obstacles and avoiding the living dead. On each participant’s belt three ribbon symbolizing the health of the player will be fastened. During an attack, zombies will rip off ribbons one by one. Players reaching the finish line with at least one ribbon will be considered a survivor. Time will not be taken into account, the presence or absence of health ribbons will be important.

City Food Market has left its familiar venue at the courtyard of the Museum of Moscow, and this time will be held at the parking of the former sugar refinery at Mantulinskaya Street. Organizers are going to turn the event into a permanent market of local producers.
About 30 participants will feed the visitors. At the market, it will be possible to taste Korean street food by Imsik, hotdogs by The Food Post, tortillas by Comida Sabrosa, burgers by Machos Burgers, desserts by Cheesecake, as well as dishes by Steak and Cider, Gorshki Soup and My Big Greek Falafel and other culinary projects.
