THE GORKY PARK MUSEUM
Gorky Park Facebook page
The impressive arch, topped with the Lenin’s Order that translates postwar Moscow monumentality and solidity, has been recently opened as a museum and an observation deck. The whole idea to arrange a museum in such an uncomfortable space seemed somewhat utopian. However, the architects managed to make it. Therefore, the museum consist of strung at each other rooms, exhibiting archive documents and photographs as movies, panoramas and infographics. There is also an attraction «parachute jump»: wearing the Oculus Rift you can soar over the park with fountains and ponds.
The main thing, however, is an observation deck with a nice view over the Neskuchnyi Garden, Defense Ministry and the Garden Ring. Among other pleasant trifles is a gift shop with beautiful old posters and Demeter aromas, specially made for the park.

SIMACHYARD
Press materials
Denis Simachev has made a place in uncharacteristic style – focused mainly on food. Simachyard has opened on the ground floor of the Nordstar Tower Business Center. At daytime, clerks from nearby offices have lunch here, and in the evening it is to become a pre-party place. The design of the new Simachev’s restaurant continues to operate domestic values, but this time instead of khokhloma paintings, the design was based on Andrei Tarkovsky’s Solaris. The result is a strange retrofuturistic interior with 40 thousand mobile glittering metal plates at the ceiling. The menu, has not been finally defined yet, but it already gives an idea of what it will look like. Most indicative dishes are buckwheat in a creamy sauce with mushrooms, green apple, onion and ginger (350 rubles (€3.52)), nautical pasta with baked sweet pepper and tomato (580 rubles (€5.84)) and stewed pumpkin puree with coconut milk and cream cloudberry (260 rubles (€2.62)).
