The ship at the Krimskaya embankment that had first opened last summer, undergone many ordeals with Moscow River reforms. However, all the troubles are behind and the ship is preparing for the new season. Favorites of last year the Greek cafe Sito, Physika shop and a store of electronic vaporizers Babylon Vapeshop are on board. It will also be possible to have a man’s haircut at Barbers Firm, and ladies will be able to use hairdresser Birdie.
The ship has added a nice bunch of new businesses: like fantastic bouquets from Velotsvetochnitsa and Mams & Paps coffeeshop.
The opening will be celebrated on Sunday from midday to midnight: the sun deck will host live concerts by members of the ship’s crew and friends of the project.

SCIENCE IN THE PARK FESTIVAL

The festival popularizing science is held several times a year. This time it will last for two days – May 6 and 7. The festival includes two large zones with different kinds of activities. The Experiments Island will be the venue for 11 tents for master classes on various themes – from physics to geology, surgical operations to chemical syntheses. The Glade of Science will hold scientific entertainment that won’t be tied to time and will work for you during the entire festival.
In addition, the festival’s program includes quests, a petting zoo, and a terrarium, board games, interactive stands of Moscow’s best museums and universities and many more.

FORMULA E RACE NEAR THE KREMLIN WALLS

Right near the Kremlin, the first race of Formula E in Russia will take place this Saturday. All pilots will prove their professionalism, driving electric cars. The use of clean fuel allows holding competitions of this magnitude in the historical center of Moscow.
The first competition of electric cars took place last year. Stunning races were held in capitals and major cities in Asia, Europe, North and South America. Moscow will be the ninth stage of the Championship.
According to the organizers, the track will look very attractive, for both the competitors and spectators.

TIMES AND EPOCHS: ANCIANT ROME FESTIVAL

Historical agency Ratobortsy invites everyone who is interested in culture and customs of antiquity to take part in the reconstruction of the era. The Kolomenskoye Park will be divided into several thematic areas, with Roman military camp in the head. Nearby, there will be organized venues, furnished in the style of the warring empires: the camp of the Germans from the Northern provinces, as well as the Greek and Scythian camps. Here you will be able to explore the park of siege engines, the Roman Forum and the arena that will host gladiator fights, performances by actors of the ancient theater and exhibition of slaves.
Without exception, all guests of the festival will be included in the reconstruction process, starting from appearance and ending with creating articles related the authentic atmosphere of the camp. Artisans and crafts masters will teach visitors the tricks of their craft – you will learn about the technology of writing on wax tablets, learn how to weave sandals, create and print your pattern on the fabric and more.

TCHAIKOVSKY’S EUGENE ONEGIN IN THE GREEN THEATRE AT VDNKH

On June 6, the birthday of Alexander Pushkin, the Green Theatre at VDNKh will host the main event of the celebrations. Orchestra and soloists of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre managed by Chief Conductor Felix Korobov will present scenes from Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin.
Famous arias, duets and ensembles will be accompanied by specially created videoart. Opera-themed historical reconstruction will also support the music: romantic couples, duelists, ceremonial carriages will create the stmosphere of the 19th century. After the concerts, visitors will see fireworks.
2015 is the anniversary year of Tchaikovsky. His opera Eugene Onegin has become the top Russian cultural code. This musical work regularly goes at the world’s leading scenes – Metropolitan Opera, Mariinsky Theatre and Vienna State Opera.
