A restaurant with Estonian-Russian cuisine has opened in the Metropol Hotel. The restaurant has two floors and a nice view over the Bolshoi Theatre and the Red Square. There will also open a summer terrace for 60 guests.
The restaurant’s chef is Andrei Shmakov , a famous chef in Estonia, presents accurate, technological, refined, but completely intelligible cuisine.
Two types of menu – day and evening, are offered to visitors. Meals from the day one can be ordered from the opening of the restaurant until 17:00. In addition, with the change of the menu, table clothing is changed – there appear candles and wine glasses. Within the hour, from 17:00 to 18:00, the place serves only desserts, tea and coffee.
Here you can taste fish chowder (550 rubles - €5.53) with red mullet, salmon and perch, backed beet with cumin cookies, and yoghurt (450 rubles - €4.53), cold beetroot soup with wild garlic butter and rye bread (370 rubles - €3.72), marinated salmon (650 rubles - €6.54), herring fried in batter (450 rubles - €4.53).
Besides, every day, the chef will prepare original desserts. Price for a dessert from the chef is 450 rubles (€4.53).

For example, here you can taste fish salad with eel, perch and halibut (420 rubles - €4.22), panna cotta from mozzarella with pesto, tomatoes and balsamic caviar (300 rubles - €3.02), lamb with couscous (510 rubles - €5.13), risotto with pumpkin, duck leg and cranberries (480 rubles - €4.83). Everything is cooked perfectly decent and lively.
The wine list is made up of self-explanatory items: Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Malbec, Zinfandel, and so on. Minimum price for a glass of white or red wine is 300 rubles (€3.02), pink wine costs 350 rubles (€3.52) per glass.

A new food market has opened in the Izvestia building. The market it is very small, only 36 seats and 5 participants.
Machos Burgers sell burgers, the most expensive of them is Ribeye burger with two meatballs, barbecue sauce, cheese, lettuce and fried tomatoes for 400 rubles (€4.02). According to current fashion, the place also serves craft beer. Cezve Coffee offers more than twenty kinds of coffee from classic espresso (80 rubles - €0.80), Cappuccino (150 rubles - €1.51) and latte (200 rubles - €2.01) to the inventive violet and mint raf coffee (200 rubles - €2.01). The Pasteur Jam specializes in handmade pasta. Presently there are 13 types of pasta in the menu (from fusilli with tomato sauce for 95 rubles - €0.96 to pappardelle carbonara for 230 rubles - €2.31), as well as risotto, ravioli and fried eggs. Uzbek cafe Baking and Plov sells nice plov for just 100 rubles (€1.01). Pizza makes different pizzas in two sizes – 24 and 30 sm. The menu offers 18 options, from the classic Margarita” for 160 rubles (€1.61) to fancy Roberto with mozzarella, chicken, pineapple, cheddar and butter peperoncini for 260 rubles (€2.62).

Summer cafe with Greek cuisine has opened a new season in the Hermitage Garden. It is located to the left of the main entrance of the park. Covering an area of 50 square meters, it has 30 seats and puffs on the lawn.
For the new season, the Lucky Souvlaki completely renovated the menu, dividing it into categories Seafood and Gifts of the Earth. Among the dishes, here are presented a burger with feta and keftedes, baked eggplant, fried cheese saganaki with honey and lemon and a square farm lamb with homemade Greek ketchup, crispy scallops and prawns with sauce Tzatziki, classic shrimp souvlaki on a skewer and crab burger with avocado and cream cheese.
