Here is our usual guide with the most remarkable events in the capital for your weekend!
GARAGE UNION SALE
Tsvetnoy Department Store continues the tradition of annual sales at the parking of minus fourth floor. This year it is called Garage Sale Union. As usual, the parking area will be filled by rails with clothes and accessories by Acne, Martin Margiela, Opening Ceremony, APC and 3.1 Phillip Lim, Balmain, Givenchy, Dries Van Noten, Wood Wood, AllSaints and dozens of other brands. Thing will be sold with discounts up to 90% and cost as the usual mass-market.
In addition, the Garage sale will be united with Lambada-Market. The organizers promise to bring 30 best Lambada sellers with vintage things, carefully selected second-hand, as well as music from the Enthusiast Records and master-classes by «Do-fest».
The sale with Lambada will last until Sunday, but it is better to come in the first few days until all the great thing are not dismantled.
DIY-FILM FESTIVAL
The second festival of activist documentary films is held in Moscow. Its themes are urban initiatives, civil society activists, street artists, social entrepreneurs and urbanism – everything that we have been worrying about for the past couple of years.
The program includes 20 documentaries from six countries. You will see how Hungarian village gets out local crisis after creating public space, how the Chinese communicate with the outside world under strict censorship, Swiss-Slovak film «War of styles – 2», made by graffiti artists, or Italian «Special Need» – a story about autist, traveling in search of erotic impressions.
Viewers will be able to discuss the films with the directors and heroes of documentaries during the open debates. All the screenings are free, you just need to register in advance on the festival website.
BEER-PONG FESTIVAL
Artplay Design Center holds the first large-scale tournament in Beer-Pong – American fun like a Ping-Pong, but with glasses of beer, in which participants try to hit glasses (to drink afterwards) with a ball. The main prize of the tournament is 50 000 rubles!
Besides the tournament, there will be a nice atmosphere with music, Russian brands showrooms, special burgers and a lot of beer.
The number of participating teams is strictly limited, therefore it is advisable to register in advance. You can make it here (the site is only in Russian unfortunately). The participation fee is 1600 rubles per team. There should be two players in a team.

DAYS OF JAPAN IN RUSSIA
A.N. Scriabin Center for Cultural Innovations (B. Nicolopesskovsky Lane, 11) invites visitors to Days of Japan in Russia.
During the weekend, you will be able to take part in master classes by Professor Midori Yamada’s school «Ikebana Ikenobo» – one of the oldest ikebana schools, try your hand at calligraphy and sumi-e painting – an art of bars and lines and visit the tea ceremony «Omote Senke». There will be a fair where you can buy tirimen silk, traditional Japanese paintings, calendars and books.
Young visitors will participate in special workshops on origami, sumi-e and ikebana.
