V annual international design exhibition Moscow Design Week is held from October 14 to 19 at the ARTPLAY Design Center. Moscow Design Week brings together designers and their projects from Russia, North America, Eastern and Western Europe
The main subject of Moscow Design Week 2014 is «Innovation to save the planet». Participants and attendees will have an opportunity to ponder on the use of design for maintaining life on the planet and the use of innovation in solving ecological issues.
This year during Moscow Design Week there will be shown traditional projects: Design SuperHeroes, Design Market, VIP Lounge, Press Village, People of Design as well as new exclusive exposures like Light&Bright.
DesignSuperheroes is the main project of Moscow Design Week. Stars of design will present their works of art to the audience. DesignSuperheroes is a great opportunity for the guests to see collections of top world designers.
Many international projects also will brighten the event: the Easter Island style installation by Tam-Tam design school, the exhibit of the best Swiss poster design from Weltformat Festival, Austrian Industrial Design Exhibition and the installation Wakes up Love. Wakes up Nature from Swedish company IKEA. Venice Design Week also among the participants of Moscow Design Week 2014.
Project People of Design consists of public talks and lectures. Designers, architects, professionals and top-speakers will share their secrets and talk about latest trends in design.
Tickets cost: 200 rubles (€4) – for ticket bought at the entrance of exhibition; 100 rubles (€2) – for reduced tickets for the schoolchildren, students and tickets for designers and architectures.
