FESTIVAL «GERMAN IN CUBE»
The Hermitage Garden will hold a large-scale festival «German in Cube» on September 13 and 14. This event will be the beginning of the Year of German Language and Literature in Russia. Festival guests of all ages will enjoy free theater performances, master classes, lectures and film screenings dedicated to German language, literature, culture and education in Germany.
The festival program will open with the most mass German lesson in the world. Teachers will tell German jokes, funny stories and the longest German words consisting of 60 or more letters!
The central event of the program will be the concert of the German hip-hop artist CRO, known for performing in a panda mask. His debut album was considered the «album of the year» by the MTV channel. Also on stage – Bas Böttcher and break-dancer Niels Robitski, known under the pseudonym «Storm».
Well-known writers and artists from Germany and Russia will read free lectures on topical issues and German culture. There will be an unusual book fair with lots of German editions will also take place during the festival.
Younger guests of the festival will be able to get acquainted with German language by games on the open classes, take part in theatrical, artistic and scientific workshops and competitions, as well as get into the world of German fairy tales with entertainers from Germany. In addition, guests will see performances of «Antique Circus» and enjoy traditional German food and beverages at the festival food court.

BIG «CITY FOOD MARKET»
Young culinary enthusiasts will show how they see the culture of street food. The Market completes the season of outdoors fairs on September 13 and 14 in the Museum of Moscow. This time it will proceed for two days without interruption –on the night from Saturday to Sunday too – with entertainments and concerts. In addition, there will be not only kiosks, but also mobile food – cafes in vans.

150 ANNIVERSARY OF THE MOSCOW ZOO
On September 13 and 14, the Moscow Zoo will have a holiday weekend timed to the 150th anniversary.
On September 13, celebrations will be held at the new territory. All guests are invited to participate in the quest «The Pride of the Moscow zoo», quiz «Heroes of the Zoo», sports program «Animal’s starts», go to the master classes «A Postcard for the Moscow Zoo» and the play «African surprise for Moscow kids». This day entertainment events will start at 12.00.
On September 14 from 10.00, the zoo will have major anniversary celebrations throughout the territory.Visitors will have a historic ‘journey’. You will be able to see how the zoo looked at the end of the XIX century, what has happened during the 1905 revolution, how the zoo had lived in the Soviet years, and how it has changed over 150 years. Everyone will be able to participate in master classes, observe theatrical and musical performances and carry away some souvenirs.
These days, the price of the tickets remains standard, however some free excursions are promised.
FESTIVAL «CLOWNFEST»
On September 13, the Sokolniki Park invites visitors to the 6th International Festival of Outdoor Clown Art «ClownFest». Park visitors will see performances of street theaters, circus and clown performances. There will be master classes in juggling, thematic photo exhibition, funny and original interactive installations, and of course, many clowns from around the world.
Famous clowns Leonid Leikin and Anwar Libabvov will be headlining the festival this year. The real surprise will be the performance of the legendary Dutch comic Jango Edwards, known far beyond the borders of Europe.
The festival will bring together clowns from all over Russia: clown group «Group A», clowns from Yakut circus, «Sharoban show», Theatre «Tall Brothers», clown group PAMPUSH and special guests – Estonian team «Royal giraffe».
In addition, guests of the festival will see the competition in clown art, which will involve clowns from all over Russia. Artists will compete for prizes in the categories «Best Actor», «Best Trick», «Most Promising» and «People’s Choice Award».
