From 8 to 17 August Moscow will host a large-scale International Jam Festival. Residents from 15 countries, including Belgium, Armenia, Thailand, Spain, and 40 regions of Russia will take part in the event.
230 chalet-tents will be set in the city. There will be more than 1,200 events, including workshops on making jam and marzipan desserts, sand sculpture, weaving, creating paintings from strawberries, and other, not quite obvious for the theme of the festival, but fun and interesting lessons. Thus, there will be a library at Manezhnaya Square, dance classes for adults and children, as well as performances of brass bands. Among other things, a laurel maze (it will occupy an area of 1200 square meters) will be constructed in Moscow. It is promised to bake a three-meter cake with jam and cook a 100-pound lollipop. Therefore, you will have many things to do besides buying jam.
The festival will cover the entire city center. The event will take place on the Arbat Street, Revolution Square, the Krimskaya Embankment, Tverskaya and Manezhnaya Square, and many other venues.
