Min creates clusters of forms suspended in the air that appear to create new hybrid spaces lying on the border between reality and fantasy. Her pictures are surrealistic on the one hand, and on the other hand, the phantasmagoric figures are built precisely and accurately, as if the author shows us someone’s dream. She makes the irrational dimension of painting so detailed and colorful, so the viewer immerses himself in the full journey through fantastic landscapes. Min Jung Yeon reveals the delicate boundary between reality and illusion created by the incredible force of imagination. Her works offer to admire distraction from a safe distance. Surrealism in her paintings is tamed, groomed and limited by aesthetic rules.
The exhibition will take place from June 6 to June 29 in Triumph Gallery (Ilyinka St., 3/8, build. 5).
