Moscow International Film Festival opened with an impressing program. Each day you can chose from over than 50 films at different venues. The festival will last until June 28.
The main competition program of the festival includes 16 films by directors from Germany, Israel, Switzerland, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine, Japan, Greece and other countries. Among the main events are the last role of Philip Seymour Hoffman Anton, premieres by Jean-Luc Godard and Valeria Gai Germanicus, and the Dardenne brothers’ drama «Two days, one night» with Marion Cotillard. Russia is represented by two films – «Yes and yes» by Valeria Gai Germanicus and «White Yagel» by Vladimir Tumayev.
Russian director Gleb Panfilov heads the main competition jury. German actress Franziska Petri, Georgian director Levan Koguashvili and producer from France Laurent Danilov are also in the jury.
Apart from the main competition, the International Film Festival has documentary «Free Thought» and the short film competitions. The schedule also includes special screenings: the program «Europe plus Europe», «Russian Trace», «DivineTrace», «Away and Close», «Wild Nights», and retrospective of director Krzysztof Zanussi.
