THE MYTH OF THE BELOVED LEADER
Paintings, posters, newsreels, photographs and other items glorifying Lenin make up the new exhibition in the Historical Museum.
Exposition of the former Lenin Museum (which had existed from 1925 until 1993 in the building of the Historical Museum) is now back as an exhibition that will last until January 2015.
It shows Lenin’s personal belongings, the endless paintings in the socialist realism style, dedicated to the leader and his role in the formation of the USSR, and more. The myth has been destroyed long ago but it is always interesting to look at the artworks made during its lifetime.

DIANE ARBUS. PORTFOLIO
MAMM brought ten iconic American works by Diane Arbus to Moscow. It would be difficult to find more controversial and tragic personality in the history of photography.
Her surrealist works reveal the bleak world, the way she saw it, suffering from depression all her life. MAMM shows the series, made a year before Arbus’s suicide.
