Dostoevsky Library will open an exhibition “The venue or fantastic library.” The exhibition will feature the architectural and design projects of the most interesting and modern libraries of the world. The exhibit also will include interactive objects and virtual tours, organizers of the exhibition are trying to recreate playing, free space of the Dutch Library in Moscow. The exhibition runs until December 14.
Moscow Library Centre that promotes metropolitan libraries also will bring to Moscow specialists from the Netherlands, who will talk about the latest practices in the libraries of the world, about psychology, sociology, reading, architecture and design space. Speakers include Eric Bukestayn, curator of experimental DOK Library Center in Delft, architect Winnie Maas, cultural Tim Vermeulen and Robin van Akken. Also in the program Boris Kupriyanov who will tell about reorganization of Moscow Libraries.
